My God, Bloglines sucks. When they’re not failing to update feeds at all, they’re filling my feeds with months old posts that have long since been read.

My complaints are based on the old Bloglines, rather than the Bloglines beta. I have no idea if these problems are also prevalent on the beta site. I much prefer the old Bloglines format to that of either Bloglines beta or Google Reader. The format doesn’t mean much these days though given how unbelievably poorly the site works. I’ve been holding off switching, but it’s starting to look like Bloglines is giving me no choice.

Rt. 1 Shutdown Details

Well, given that I do blog under the name CentralNJ, I should probably consider offering more info about central New Jersey.   For now, I’ll just link to the latest story on what was going on on Rt. 1 in South Brunswick this morning. I was detoured around Rt. 1 at about 6:15 this morning and I understand northbound 1 didn’t open until after 8am.  You can find the latest details on the Home News’ site HERE.

FWIW, according to one of the comments on the article, the police account is that the driver didn’t stop, he rammed a police car and then got out and the police shot him when he didn’t follow their commands.  I haven’t seen any verification, however, so feel free to take those details with a large grain of salt.

Single-Engine Cessna Crashes Into Bush

CAMP DAVID, MD—The Federal Aviation Administration said engine failure was to blame for a pilot losing control of a four-seater Cessna aircraft that crashed head-on into President Bush Thursday. According to the FAA report, the nose of the Cessna 350 impacted with the president’s face at 110 mph, instantly killing pilot James Morris, 45. Bush reportedly suffered third-degree burns on 95 percent of his body, a broken spine, 20 shattered ribs, one collapsed lung, a basilar skull fracture, and minor leakage of cerebrospinal fluid. Bush, who had been hiking alone in an isolated region of the 125-acre presidential retreat before the accident, was trapped under the burning engine block for 45 minutes before rescue crews reached the crash site. While doctors said they worked swiftly to remove the smoldering wreckage from the president’s body, much of the plane’s burning debris had already fused to his skeleton before he could be airlifted from the scene. Bush is resting comfortably at Bethesda Naval Hospital.
